Service of Legal Process

The Risk Solutions Group has been providing trial preparation and litigation support assistance in upstate New York since its inception in 2007. Service of legal process pursuant to NYS C.P.L.R. and R.P.A.P.L. regulations is a daily function of RSG. RSG maintains membership in the National Association of Professional Process Servers (NAPPS) and utilizes its membership database for all services outside of New York. Service is also available with affiliates in Canada and Puerto Rico.

Inside New York State, RSG has developed long standing relationships with agents in Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany and the NYC Metropolitan area. In most cases, the first attempt on all assignments are made within 24 hours of receipt and updates are made after three attempts or if a provided address is learned to be invalid. Should RSG discover an address is inaccurate; inquiries will be made with current occupants or neighbors to gather information about the subject. Additional services provided by RSG can be utilized if a skip trace or locate service is determined to be necessary.

Service of legal process is billed at a flat rate per industry standard and RSG prices are reflective of our level of service and accountability. Service fees for inside Monroe County, NY are billed at $50.00 for 3 attempts with no mileage charge. Service fees for adjacent counties in Western NY are billed at $75.00 for 3 attempts with mileage assessed at .45 per mile.
